Welcome to PROJEKTHILFE GUATEMALA.
A registered association that determines and finances specific relief projects for the Indians of Guatemala and guarantees the implementation of these projects.

In 2001 Dorle Wagner started to stand up for the Indians of the Guatemalan highlands. The rich cultural history before the Spanish colonial time as well as the devastating recent history were the first reasons for her to join a relief delegation on their journey to this Central American country.
In the highlands, in San Cristobal, she got to know the convent of the "Mothers of the abandoned", who run a children's home, a school and lunch rooms, amongst other things.
After her return home, and encouraged by the self-sacrificing work of the nuns, she started to raise funds for some manageable relief projects as well as for school sponsorships. Since then, there have been more and more projects and contacts. Many years ago she has found a reliable partner on site in padre Hermann, who supervises the implementation of the projects.

On the following pages you will learn more about Guatemala;
about poverty, land expropriation, abandoned children
but also about hope and the people's smile.
